RCM certification is a mark launched by Australia and New Zealand to realize the uniform identification of electrical products. This mark is a trademark owned by regulators in Australia and New Zealand, which means that the product complies with safety regulations and emc requirements and is mandatory
RCM certified controlled electrical products are mainly divided into non controlled products and controlled products, because not all products marked with rcm need to be registered. Non regulated products do not need to be registered. At present, only regulated electrical products need to be registered. There are 56 major risk factor products, including power adapter and vacuum cleaner.
Generally, the logo of RCM should be marked on the product label. The original dealer number and the new rcm do not need to be marked with the dealer number.
As this requirement was issued on March 1, 2013, with a three-year transition period, it will be enforced from March 1, 2016. Therefore, the manufacturer shall carry out the relevant tests of this standard in strict accordance with the requirements. Because of the new rcm requirements, unlike in the past, importers have to pay registration fees and annual registration fees in addition to bearing the high risk of unqualified products, and few co***nies can provide such services.
What are the main rcm tests?
Electronic products sold in New Zealand and Australia must have the rcm logo or conform to rcm standards. In addition, before entering the Australian market, they must pass the following rcm compliance tests:
1. Electromagnetic co***tibility test (emc)
2. Safety test
3. Electromagnetic radiation test (electromagnetic radiation)
4. Telecommunication test
5. RF communication test (New Zealand Radio Spectrum Management (rsm))
