California 65 is phthalic acid salt content and total lead content. In November 1986, the Drinking Water Safety and Toxic Substances Enforcement Act of 1986 was issued to protect California residents and the state's drinking water sources, make the water sources free of known substances that may cause birth defects or other reproductive and developmental hazards, and truthfully notify residents. California Proposition 65 regulates chemicals known to California to cause reproductive toxicity.
Scope of application:
CP65 has set limits on jewelry, clothing, bags, sports mats, toys and childcare products, ceramic glass products, aluminum cooking utensils, bicycles and their accessories, electrical devices, wires and cables, among which lead is the most widely restricted substance. All products sold in California, including textiles, toys, groceries, food contact products, electronic products, etc.
